Gr. 10 Drama Podcast:
The Ward Stories

This podcast is written, edited, and recorded by my Gr. 10 Drama students as their culminating task. So far we have over 400 downloads!

Season 1 - "Stress"

Students reflect on their own experiences with stress, and create original stories to represent their relationship with it. Episodes include: an exploration of David Byrne's music; the struggle of handling exams; a reflection on procrastination; and more.

Season 2 - Fear

Season 2 is a series of scripted audio dramas, based on our fears during the Covid-19 global pandemic. Topics include a haunted school; a cursed mirror; and a secret underground cult.

Season 3 - Mystery

This season is a murder mystery anthology series. Students used improv, devised theatre, prop work, and writing-in-role to create characters that love and hate each other, with killer consequences. Topics include: a killer love triangle; a murderous McDonald's manager; and a flower shop rivalry turned deadly.

Season 4 - Live

In 2022 we were finally allowed to perform live on stage once again. This season collects all the live performances given by all my Drama students that year. The Gr. 9s created three scenes based on myths from China and the Philippines; the Gr. 10s created a series of monologues on mental health; and the Gr. 11/12 class wrote an original play.
